Prayer


At Waterfront Foursquare we believe that prayer is the direct line of communication with our Creator. Prayer WORKS! If you have a need — no matter how small or how great — we want to pray for your needs. Prayer requests are sent confidentially and directly to Pastor Reese. If you would like others to pray with you, you could also attend our weekly prayer meeting or come to a small group meeting.

Prayer – Talking to God

Prayer is a wonderful, miraculous privilege!

God is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. He knows everything you ever did and ever will do, and He still loves you! He has good plans for your life, and according to Jeremiah 29:11, wants to give you a hope and a future. He cares for you so much that He gave His Son so that you could be with Him forever.  The Bible says, “For God so loved the world, the He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

You can talk to Him about anything that concerns you. Tell Him your desires and passions. Share your concerns for your loved ones. Talk out your fears with Him.

Communicate to God what is inside you without fear.

What do I say?

The best way to pray is to speak what is in your heart, to talk to God just as if  He were in the room with you (as in fact, He is). He desires to hear each and every every word you say, whether you are confused, angry and sad, or full of joy and thanksgiving. He wants you to lift all of your requests, no matter how large or small, directly to Him.

In Matthew 6:9-13, Jesus taught the disciples a pattern for prayer. “This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts (or trespasses), as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.'"
